The Managing Director is responsible for operations, finance, and general management including annual financial planning and vendor management. S/he will report to the Artistic Director, but maintain a close connection to the Board of Directors especially the Treasurer and the Board Chair. The Managing Director provides hands on management and collaborates closely with the Artistic Director and Mktg/Dev Manager on all aspects of running the organization to ensure effective systems, safe and secure conditions, and that Ingenuity is in compliance with laws and government requirements. The person in this position will provide perspective and act as an advisor for both the Artistic Director and the Board of Directors.
This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week. There are several times a year where the schedule may require more than 20 hours per week, and comp time will be provided.

We are seeking team-oriented individuals with excellent organizational skills and the flexibility to work across a range of job functions, including on-site and administrative needs. Ingenuity’s success is based on a highly collaborative team that includes staff and board members plus a network of trusted contractors, volunteers, community leaders and service providers working to create programming that is highly responsive to a wide range of circumstances.

- Flexible schedule: this internship is part-time (approximately 10 hours/wk during the semester, 15-20 hours/wk in summer), but may increase during program times.
- Available to help through the Festival (typically end of September)
- Bonus points if you’ve attended the Festival in previous years
- More bonus points if you have basic graphic design skills
We have two opportunities currently available:
Marketing and Development Intern: responsibilities will vary from day to day with a range of long and short-term projects. Tasks may include
organization and management, maintaining communications with Festival participants, various graphic design projects, writing blogs, some social media assistance and website (WordPress) work. Graphic design work also available!
Production Assistant Intern: responsibilities will vary from day to day with a range of long and short-term projects. Tasks may include coordinate among Festival participants, program director and production manager, as well as other team members, in addition to managing a variety of duties that support key event logistics with regard to:
equipment and infrastructure procurement, vendor and rental communications, and onsite event needs. Helpful but not necessary: some event, theatrical, music or nonprofit production experience.
