Ingenuity’s Make Space A huge hit at this year’s Festival was the Make Space.  Partnering with individuals and organizations like Makers Alliance and the United States Fab Lab Network, Ingenuity created a zone where education, inspiration, and just plain showing off could happen.  The Maker movement is definitely is definitely in Ingenuity’s past and future.  Look for more maker events large and small from Ingenuity between now and next year’s festival. From the 2012 Festival – September 14, 15, and 16: Learn, create, and be inspired by this assembly of creative Makers.  Watch a robot create art or fashion some of your own.  Learn about everything from 3D printers to laser cutters to soldering irons.  Just what is a Maker?  Come and be surprised.  You may already be one. Ingenuity Comedy Stage Friday, September 14 Warehouse 32 – Loading Dock 8PM Puterbaugh Sisters opening for Beth Stelling This hour of comedy features some incredibly unique comedians. The Puterbaugh Sisters (Tiffany @puterbaughs & Danielle @dputerbaugh) can’t properly be described, but alt-vaudeville-sex kittens is close. Beth Stelling @bethstelling is one of the best human beings in comedy and recently made her TV debut on CONAN! They hosted a variety show (Entertaining Julia) together in Chicago for 6 years that’s basically a weekly ingenuity fest unto itself. The Chucklefck showcases this year will be co-hosted by Chicago’s Will Miles @mrwillmiles + Cleveland’s Ramon Rivas II @RamonRivasII. The top 16 of the 44 submissions received for this years festival will be performing for a chance to be invited to the Best of Fest wrap show Sunday 9/16 at @Hilarities at 7p with special guests the Sklar Brothers! 9 PM Chucklefck Showcase David Drake

From our 2012 Festival September 14, 15, and 16: Takes The Nichole Canuso Dance Company Warehouse 32 Performance Times: Fri 6PM, 9PM – Sat  7PM, 10PM Sun  2PM Open Gallery Hours A genre bending exploration of dance installation and cinema conceived by choreographer Nichole Canuso and multi-media director Lars Jan. A sensual melding of live bodies and film, TAKES manifests, refracts and spatially unfolds the forgotten moments of a relationship in real time through a panoramic marriage of live choreography and film. Canuso performs alongside Beau Hancock in this panoramic adventure for the senses. Separate from the performances, the audience is free to wander and shift perspective during the performance
