Erica Mott presented The Victory Project at IngenuityFest 2011. This is an interview between James Krouse, director of programming for IngenuityFest, and Mott about the piece and the experience of presenting it at the Festival. Chuck Karnak and the Ingenuity Crew created a truly unique experience in the center span of the bridge allowing dancers to move through the crowds and still be lit. Dance 100ft above the Cuyahoga river was a true Ingenuity moment.

IngenuityFest and the Cleveland Public Library teamed up on the graphic novel theatrical event presented at IngenuityFest. The project turned into a terrific collaboration between illustrators, musician’s and theatre folks. If you missed if performed in the subway station under West 25th you can see encore performances in October and November: –Thursday, October 27, 4:00 p.m., Martin Luther King Branch –Saturday, November 5, 2:00 p.m., Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium –Tuesday, November 8, 4:00 p.m., Carnegie-West Branch The goal is to record this project and marry the audio and video online so the piece can be enjoyed forever — but there’s just something so cool about seeing live theatre. This theatrical adaptation combines graphic novel projections with live actors. It’s the 22nd Century: money is obsolete, energy is plentiful, and everyone lives forever.
