James Krouse is an author, director, and playwright who has also headed up the marketing efforts for Fortune 100 companies globally. Evolving his skills in traditional marketing public relations to new media, Krouse founded Pear Tree Communications to help companies and non-profits leverage social media to build their brands and tell their story more effectively. He is currently spearheading Ingenuity’s initiative to build a year long presence and highlight innovation in art, business, technology, and, science. He holds degrees from Ohio University and the Yale School of Drama.
Krouse’s plays explore how audience’s relate to characters both in the theater and through other medium such as online social networks. His first book, Burden of Command tells the true story of a WWII era mine sweeper with a crew driven to the brink of mutiny. One of the blogs that he currently writes is on geniocity.com called The Skeptics Guide to Social Media
After living in New York City, and London, Krouse is #happyincle where he grew up.
