FINALISTS HAVE BEEN CHOSEN; CONTEST IS CLOSED TO ENTRIES
Calling all drinkers and thinkers. (We had to throw the “thinkers” part in there; after all, it is Ingenuity Fest).
The Martini Metromix-off is back and this year it’s going to be bigger and better. We are partnering with Ingenuity Fest once again in search for the perfect martini. Put your thinking and drinking caps on (see, there we go again) and send us your most original, creative and tasty martini recipes using Three Olives Bubble.
Three Olives is our official liquor sponsor and they want you to help introduce the brand’s newest flavor with a unique martini recipe.
You don’t have to be a bartender to enter. As long as you like to drink, we’re sure you can come up with a yummy recipe. Hint: Don’t make the recipe too complicated by throwing in chopped up fruit or any crazy concoctions. It’s not rocket science. It’s a drink people will probably consume too many of and get tipsy.
We’ll pick the top three entries, and they’ll compete in the ultimate Martini Metromix-off at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9. This year the mix-off is part of Ingenuity Festival’s Preview Party, which goes from 8-11 p.m. at the Ingenuity E-Cafe in the Sterling Building.
Our panel of three martini experts consists of last year’s mix-off champion Dana Lemon, mixology expert and manager of Delmonico’s Chris Kneeland and the Executive Artistic Director of Inegenuity Fest, James Levin. They’ll judge which contestant makes the tastiest ‘tini and the winning recipe will be dubbed this year’s “Ingenuitini.” It will be served throughout the duration of Ingenuity 2009 at the E-Cafe and the Ingenuitini Rooftop Bar.
Besides being dubbed this year’s best martini maker, the winner will get four all-weekend passes to Ingenuity, two pair of Cleveland Cinema movie passes good for any movie at all Cleveland Cinema locations and two pair of passes to PlayhouseSquare’s 12th Annual Cinema at the Square.
The winner along with the three finalists will receive free admission for two to Ingenuity’s Preview Party.
Once the winning drink is chosen, Ingenuity Preview partygoers will be able to order it the night of the pre-party for just $5.
