Electric Junkyard Gamelan is the brainchild of bandleader and composer Terry Dame. Born out of desire to create an original sound, Dame fused her passions of composing, inventing and building to form this unique group. Originally inspired by traditional Gamelan music from Bali, today the group’s music is influenced by a diverse range of sounds from Indian classical to funk, klezmer to hip hop and is shaped by the unique and humor laced voice group composer Terry Dame. Originality is the overriding theme of the group. As composer and director of the group, Dame strives to present a sound that is unique and new while remaining accessible to all listeners. Over the years we have adopted the motto of ReUse, ReCycle and Rock and we hope to promote a message of a greener world in all of our performances.

Enjoyed the bridge project last year. It’s an exciting space.
Haven’t been a participating artist in “Ingenuity” for a couple of years . Maybe this will be the year to be and artist again instead of a visitor!
