Bios: Alexander Boxerbaum has studied fields as diverse as physics, art history neurobiology and mechanical engineering. He is currently pursuing his PhD in mechanical enginering at Case Western Reserve University’s Biorobotics lab. This project came out of a longstanding love and study of perception and a desire to expand the timescales that we can find meaningful patterns in. Chris Yanc is a graduate of Kent State University with a BFA in 2D Visual Communication Design and a professional background in interactive design. His work with Alexander Boxerbaum at Ingenuity Fest will be his first appearance using custom built multi-touch computer vision technology along with Adobe Flash to create an interactive element to 36 Views of a Bridge. Andrew D. Horchler is currently a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering at Case Western Reserve University. As a member of the Biorobotics Lab at Case, he has designed and built six robotic vehicles and has worked with others to develop robots that jump, fly and climb walls. Currently, he’s developing models of the insect brain to further the state-of-the-art in mobile robotic autonomy.
