$20 gets you into the Ingenuity Rooftop Martini Bar and includes 2 Ingenuitinis and Chef Mathlage’s culinary experiments. Two hours only on Friday night, so don’t miss out on this chance to try his mind-blowing creations.
When: Friday, July 10th – 6-8pm only
Who: Chef Matthew Mathlage, chef/owner of Light Bistro
Where: Ingenuity’s VIP area, 1226 Huron at Playhouse Square
What: Chef Mathlage will demonstrate the transformative powers of what’s often called molecular gastronomy by creating small plates of monochromatic food for guests in the VIP lounge to enjoy. Using five techniques and five ingredients, Chef Mathlage will create lavender infused beets sous vide, blackberry leather, hibiscus liquid gel, and Campari crumble. The color? PURPLE, which is inspired by the 18th century French gourmand and food writer Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin who called it the color of inspiration.
Participatory human swarming activity at Ingenuity Festival: 3 pm, Saturday & Sunday, July 11 and 12, Playhouse Square. FREE (with festival admission).
Come join the swarm! It’s easy to participate and fascinating to watch!
