It’s that time of year when we all get end-of-year requests for donations from worthwhile non-profit organizations.  Is it the spirit of the season?  The tax benefit?  Or is it simply a time of year that we take a breather and consider how we can help to shape the year ahead?

At Ingenuity, we are asking our supporters to Inspire Ingenuity, a clever (or not so clever) turn of phrase replacing “support” or “give”.   Inspire Ingenuity is about more than just supporting an event that you’ve attended.  A contribution to Ingenuity is really an investment in all that is great about the place many of us call home as well as what the future of Cleveland can be.

So What Can We Be?

If you’ve ever visited Chicago or Austin or Toronto or New York and said “Why can’t Cleveland be more like this?”, a contribution to Ingenuity right now will help us get there.  We are one of the largest art and technology festivals in the country and one of the most unique.  We can be bigger and better, with a greater impact on the region, but we need your help getting there. We are small enough that your support today helps fund not only the September 2012 Festival, but events in February, March, May, and July.  Wow, that’s a lot!

Who We Already Are

Ingenuity brings an estimated 45,000 people into downtown Cleveland each year and creates an economic impact of $4.5 million*.  That’s not bad for a budget of around $500,000.  It’s also not bad for an organization that creates year-round outreach programs through partnerships with schools and other educational groups, while providing unique opportunities for Ingenuity creators to show and perform their work, inspiring many of them go on to produce work on the national and international stage.

A Free Festival

We believe strongly in a free festival.  Good things happen when people can mix together, come and go, and celebrate creativity and innovation without having to think about a ticket.  What would ticket prices be to all of Ingenuity’s events?  All the bands, performances, and exhibits?  $20 $30?  $50?

By donating to Ingenuity, you are not only supporting a non-profit organization in Cleveland, you are also Inspiring Ingenuity for the future of this region, for all the it is now and all that it can be in the future.  This is your chance to ensure that Ingenuity continues to grow, thrive, and fulfill its full potential.  There is no amount that is too small to help.  Give what you can to Inspire Ingenuity today…
